Midland Indoor Rowing Championships 2017

Both Rowing and Canoeing are fantastically energetic sports and using our indoor simulators our sessions become an all-year round alternative to regular PE sports that boost fitness levels and, of course, this links perfectly into participating outdoors on-the-water.

Nothing quite beats being outdoors and practising rowing and canoeing in the outdoors! We can provide sessions on-the-water at a variety of locations depending on your needs. All courses can be tailored to specific requirements and can follow national award schemes.

No organisation is the same and here at B-ROW we know that one programme that fits one group will not suit another. All of our programs are customised to your needs and anticipated outcomes and our fact finding meetings will help us develop a customised programme.

What we can offer you

Whether it is an introductory session on a local canal or a programme of development through the British Canoeing award scheme we can provide the right solution to meet your needs. We have access to Sit on Tops, Kayaks, Canoes and Stand Up Paddleboards.

Using one of our tried and tested locations we can introduce you to rowing on-the-water using our specially designed beginner friendly stable training boats before moving you into more performance boats. Or if you prefer we can stay indoors using our simulators.

What We Do

B-Row offers indoor and outdoor rowing and canoeing to Schools, Colleges, Universities and Youth Groups across Birmingham. School and College delivery offers indoor rowing and canoeing sessions throughout the winter in curriculum P.E. lessons, we can also help to set-up and run lunchtime and afterschool clubs for those schools who wish to take the sport further. We deliver sessions in a massive amount of establishments across the West Midlands.

Rowing and Canoeing Satellite Clubs in Birmingham

Satellite Clubs are community based clubs that feed into the main regional club for example we run a satellite club in Kings Norton with the purpose of feeding the main club in Birmingham (Birmingham Rowing or Birmingham Canoe Clubs). We have set up many indoor rowing satellite clubs across Birmingham and this program is being followed with canoeing satellite clubs.

Birmingham Active Parks – Rowing and Canoeing

We are the chosen delivery partner for Birmingham City Council’s Active Parks program. We deliver free weekly sessions in local parks throughout the summer in both canoeing and rowing.

Partnership working

Much of our delivery is aimed towards growing the City’s main clubs and this is core to much of the development work we undertake. We work closely with many organisations including Sport England, Sport Birmingham, Birmingham City Council and many more organisations.

School Games

We regularly run the Level 2 and 3 rowing competition events in Birmingham

We run outdoor rowing sessions at Edgbaston Reservoir in Edgbaston where we work closely with Birmingham Rowing Club and Powell’s Pool in Sutton Park, Sutton Coldfield where we work with Bishop Vesey Grammer School Boat Club. On these two sites we offer taster sessions and learn to row courses for both adults and under 18’s. Keep your eye on our ‘booking’ page to find out
when and where the sessions are taking place.

If you need help running any indoor competitions please get in touch as we will be more than happy to help.
