Edgbaston Reservoir

Having teamed up with Birmingham Rowing Club we can provide Rowing, Canoeing, Kayaking and Paddleboarding from the club facilities. Edgbaston Reservoir is a great resource for water sports with central transport links and being very close to the city centre.

The reservoir covers an area of 58 acres and is 40 feet at it deepest and when the reservoir is full – the reservoir was built by Thomas Telford in 1829 to feed the canal system with top up water.

The Reservoir is extensively used for Rowing, Canoeing, Kayaking and Paddleboarding, more Rowing by the Rowing club, sailing and powerboating by Midland Sailing Club and the Sea Cadets at TS Vernon.

As an AALA accredited centre we are really privileged to run paddlesports on a great venue that has so much to offer Birmingham.
