On July 21st, 22nd and 23rd 2017 between 11.00am – 5:00pm Roundhouse will be hosting a free exhibition in partnership with FVU and as part of our great partnership with the Roundhouse we are giving you the opportunity to get out and try Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP)!!

Changing Places is an exhibition of artists’ video, curated by FVU. It links the industrial transformations occurring across South Asia with buildings of historic significance in Britain.

Birmingham Roundhouse is one of ten venues in this nationwide tour and will host video works by Bani Abidi and Omar Chowdhury. The works draw parallels between transformations in Birmingham and across South Asia as a result of industry, inviting us to think about how moments of boom and decline and constant change have shaped communities, created monumental buildings, and altered our ways of thinking about consumption and labour.

A paddleboard is a great way to get to see the industrial decline in the Icknield Port Loop and learn about the massive regeneration that the area is about to undergo.
